The rocks in western Ontario have striations resembling an abstract grid. Dye painting fabric resulted in very exciting colours with shapes that emphasized the striations and the energy within those shapes.
Materials: thickened dyes on cotton, hand dyed cotton, pearl cotton
Techniques: mono-printing on cotton using thickened dyes, cut apart, machine pieced inserts, hand embroidery, free motion quilted on a domestic machine.
Accepted into the 2019 Pacific North West International Quilt and Fiber Art Festival.
Accepted into the 2020 Quilt Canada National Juried Show
