The striations and colours of the rocks in Western Ontario inspired me to explore interpretations using thickened dyes on fabric. Striations were emphasized through the use of overlaid strips following lines in the painted design.

Materials: thickened dyes on cotton, commercial cotton

Techniques: mono-printing on cotton using thickened dyes, machine applique, free-motion quilted on a domestic machine.
