The colours of the rocks in western Ontario were the focus of this dye painted piece. The overlaid strips created the motion of the striations in the rocks.

Materials: thickened dyes on cotton, commercial cotton

Techniques: mono-printing on cotton using thickened dyes, machine applique, free-motion quilted on a domestic machine
