Statement: The negative shape of the screen printed grasses invited the addition of more grass like shapes of different values in the background blocks. The tall grasses in the foreground seem to be dancing with the movement of the water.

Materials: Cotton screen printed with grasses as a resist, assorted cottons, fusible web

Techniques: screen printing with grasses as a resist, fused and machine applique, machine pieced and quilted
