Statement: Rereading a Marion Zimmer Bradley novel from her Darkover series inspired the creation of the moon. A photo of moss, lichen and new buds on a poplar tree helped shape the colour scheme.

Materials/Techniques: Fused, collaged background, woven moon, couched yarn, cheesecloth, hand and machine embroidery and quilting.
